The greatest list of hotel Best Rate Guarantees ever. Well... as long as it's the only one I know of, I'll continue to claim that title. (Don't tell me if there's a better one I prefer ignorance, and the title). But really, here is the best rate/price guarantee policies for most major chains, some small chains, and some online travel booking sites.
I don't mention some hotel chains, simply because they don't offer one (a Best Rate Guarantee). Well, they usually offer to match, but... might as well book on the other site then and not go through the trouble....

IHG Rewards (which was Priority Club) and its kin, Ambassador status, gets all too confusing. The reason they turned into two status programs is because they want Ambassador Status to be something that is good only at InterContinental branded hotels and IHG Rewards to be the rewards and points system for all IHG hotels (which includes InterContinental as well as Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Hotel Indigo, Staybridge Suites and Candlewood Suites).

After Hilton decided to make their points nearly worthless, I have had trouble finding good uses for HHonors Points. Points so worthless I argued to try to avoid paying for Hilton hotels (although found that I'm a liar if it's the only hotel chain in a city like Innsbruck). That being said, I do have a special spot in my heart for the Hilton credit card.
"How can it be? B-b-but you said Hilton HHonors Points are worthless?"
Well, that's true. But one of their credit cards gives free nights, not points....

The InterContinental Hotel Group's Best Rate Guarantee is the best.... for free nights. Their policy is that simple, book with us and find a lower rate on another site and get a free night on your stay. If you have a one night stay, it's completely free.
