Best Use

If I had a stash of specific miles, what would be the top one or two ways I would use each of those miles? I intend to answer that question with 11 different airline frequent flyer programs.

Also, I'll give a catch... Since I never ever pay fuel surcharges, I'm not going to recommend any examples with fuel surcharges. And, this particular list will be all flights starting from the US. I'm planning on doing one on non-US based starting points. I guess that will be the 201, so to speak.

Flying Blue is an exciting program that is now transferable from Citi ThankYou points, Amex MR points, and SPG points. But little did I know just how awesome this program is. So I'm very excited for this post.

I'm very proud of this research. Not only is this a "best use" post, I created the first complete Flying Blue award chart, defined regions, discovered some odd pricings, made a list of which partners do/don't have fuel surcharges and which partners can be booked online. In many ways, this post will be the first (that I know of) to stumble upon a lot of things.

Best Use of Korean Air Skypass Miles

Korean Air Skypass Miles are an official transfer of Chase Ultimate Rewards (for cards that transfer to miles), it's about time someone did an in depth post on this rewards program... and I'm just the guy for the job.

What you may not have known is that Korean Air Miles allow a stopover and open-jaw on roundtrips, they have some very generously priced awards, maybe the cheapest to Hawaii, and there are many routes without fuel surcharges.

Another new Citi transfer is Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer. It's mostly noted for being the way of using miles to fly Singapore Airlines suites (with the double bed). But I tried to dig a little deeper and find some of the other highlights of the KrisFlyer miles.

There is a lot to go over, because Singapore has so many not yet talked about options and one of the only ways to redeem for Singapore Airlines "Suites" (which I broke down to routes by hours flown and cost in miles).
