If you need a 3+ night stay this summer, consider this promotion to earn 25,000 Choice Points.
25,000 Choice points is enough for 1 night at a nice hotel, or multiple nights at a decent hotel. There are hotels in Norway that are $200+ a night or 16,000 points.
Find the promotion link here.
Rules to earn the 25,000 points.
- 3 night min
- Book by end of May
- Complete stay by end of Aug
- Make reservation on ChoiceVacationRentals.com
- Use promo code: “SPRING25K”
Note that the vacation rentals and hotels on this list are only in the US and Canada. You can find the list of destinations here.
Plus, it says promo is “available to U.S. and Canadian residents only”.
Maximizing The Promo
First of all, it says you get 5 points per dollar already, plus the 25,000 bonus points.
But there also seems to be a promo where you get a $50 gift card after two stays. The $50 gift card comes in a lot of options, including Amazon gift cards.
“Stay two separate times between May 7 and August 9.”
The thing is, I’m unclear about whether or not this promo works on the vacation rentals booking site.
I think it does, because the terms and conditions for this promo explain that vacation rentals are not eligible if you elect to earn miles instead of points.
Find details and register for this $50 gift card promo here.
(May have to come back here after to select gift card?)
Conclusion
Again, book a 3 night stay here and use the promo code “SPRING25K”, and get 25,000 Choice points.
If I can stack with this the $50 gift card, then great. But it’s still a great promotion for the 25k.
How Good Is This Deal?
If I end up needing 3 nights in a row, I will definitely book this.
However, despite having a $100 a night place not far out of my way, I would/will not book a 3 night stay I won’t use. I just wouldn’t pay $300 for 25,000 points.
So I noticed per the terms/conditions on this that you don’t actually get $50 gift card, you get 8k points (minimum!) might get more depending on stay $ it seems), and a limited time in which to redeem it for a $50 gift card (usually it’s 16k points).
Orrrrr, you could redeem it for an 8k hotel like I plan to in NYC.
I wish I could find a decent deal for the 25k promo since I’m travelling to SoCal next week where a lot of these are located, but they are so expensive once you throw in the cleaning fees, way worse than airbnb or similar. However, I am able to get a free night in NYC on a holiday weekend with about $120 spend on 2 1-night stays, I ain’t sad.
