My friend Seth is sincerely among the nicest people on earth. However, he’s a terrible travel companion.
Unbeknownst to him, I took photographic evidence to prove just how bad Seth is. It seems to be correlated with transit itself. Otherwise, he’s a great travel buddy, up for an adventure…
But as you’ll see, when it comes to transit, he’s a bore.
The following photos are from a single day of travel. It was a day of transit, going from Kuala Lumpur to Koh Samui. I believe we were going from the InterContinental (or DoubleTree) KL to the InterContinental Koh Samui.
We started by taking the train direct to the airport…
Waiting for the train (which comes every 15 minutes) Sethy fell asleep on us!
The train ride to the airport is 33 minutes…
And Sethy fell asleep again, but this time he busts out his goofy Mandarin Oriental inflatable neck pillow.
We got to the airport, got to our gate…
And obviously, Seth got out his computer to do some work.
Guess how much work he got done:
90 minute flight to Surat Thani:
From Surat Thani airport we needed a short bus ride to get to the ferry to Koh Samui.
I love the views from ferry rides to tropical islands!
Seth, he’s a little indifferent.
I’ll let you guess what he did when he got to paradise. 😀
I’m jealous. I wish I could nod put on demand like that
*nod out
It’s funny how sone people fall asleep while in vacation. Perhaps the body knows to shut down,
If that’s not an endorsement for whatever pillow he’s using then I don’t know what is… 🙂
