Hyatt Categories changed today, but the bigger news is that they added a ton of luxury hotels and international hotels by partnership with the hotel brand SLH (Small Luxury Hotels of The World).
All these hotels are now added to this map below!
(Also, check out the post “Best New SLH Hotels to Book with Hyatt Points & Map“, to see best new redemptions and a map of all the new SLH hotels bookable with Hyatt points).

Hyatt Award Nights:
Note that there is not only a new award category 8 but Hyatt recently added “premium suite” awards, and the biggest (perhaps worst) change is requiring 50% of the paid rate for “Points + Cash”.

Another great tool, thank you. Revealing and helpful again to see (visually at a glance) the wide availability of Hyatt Categories 1&2 (white & yellow) Thanks for highlighting this too — and it really does seem “awesome.”
Yet the map map need a bit of refinement. Here in VA, the Hyatt Place Chesapeake is presently missing, the Hyatt Place Dulles seems to have been misplaced…. (south of Ch’ville?), and around Richmond, add the Hyatt House R/West. (cat. 2) Oh, in and around Washington DC (and out towards Dulles), you have 10 Hyatts presently located. (I’m counting 16+)
Boy. Went through and fixed all the ones you mentioned. Google got a little cra-cra on this one. But anyways, I appreciate it.
Great work… Hyatt.com needs something like this! Also… to aid refinement of the map: I couldn’t find the Park Hyatt Tokyo or Park Hyatt Shanghai. Awesome though!
Weird, they were both overlapping with other locations, so you could only see one or the other. This happens far too often with this tool. But I got em back in place, so thanks!
Awesome work! Small error – You have the Hyatt Place San Jose/Pinares in San Jose, Philippines rather than San Jose, Costa Rica.
Close enough.
To echo everyone else, the map is awesome. Correction I found: the Hyatt Place Lincoln/Downtown-Haymarket seems to be in the middle of a field in Nebraska.
Hopefully no one is using my map for directions.
I was downtown Lincoln just last week and it’s still there. In unrelated news, a new Hyatt appears to have opened in the Sandhills of Central Nebraska.
The Hyatt Place Tucson Airport is no where near Tucson.
Thanks for this though! Love it.
They should properly name it then!
Jk. Thanks got it fixed. 😉
You need to add Santa Rosa CA and Portland OR to you map. Thanks for all your great work
More refinement ideas: add the Hyatt “all inclusive” properties too, not just the two in Mexico (Cancun & Los Cabos), but also the two newbies to open in November in Jamaica. (Ziva & Zilaha). On the latter, I’m keen to find out how they’ll be priced in Hyatt Gold points. (and/or if we can use our free nights on them too)
Given how super cheap the new Southwest fares are to Jamaica (as you pointed out recently), thinking we may do both the Hyatt & HI all inclusive options there. 🙂 After you.
There is a Hyatt Regency in Cancun, but the map doesn’t show it.
Good info! Heads up, though, Hyatt Vineyard Creek Hotel and Spa is out of place (shown near Fresno).
Hey Drew, the Andaz Maui is showing on the wrong island! This is such a great tool! Thanks for creating it.
Awesome map, love what you’ve done with all the award maps for hotels, very useful
The Hyatt Arlington (1325 Wilson Boulevard
Arlington, Virginia, USA) is missing from the map. It’s a category 3 Hyatt.
http://www.arlington.hyatt.com/en/hotel/home.html
Nice map. Very helpful.
Please note that the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point is not showing in the correct location. The address for this property is 5001 Coconut Road, Bonita Springs, FL 34134.
Hey Drew,
Great map. Any chance you have this in list format so I can control F through the contents of the map itself?
One more feedback item… the Grand Hyatt Dubai is missing (Cat 4).
Thanks for the great map! Just wanted to add “Hyatt Place Flushing”, which seems to be missing. Also “Hyatt Place Garden City” is on Long Island, not in the finger lake area. thanks
Great map and wonderful idea! Thanks! I will definitely use for Hyatt and other brands. (I did not see the all inclusive in Cancun, and maybe missing some all inclusives in some other places.)
LOVE THIS TOOL!!! Trying to use it to hunt for cash+points category 1 hotels: found a few more needed updates:
Hyatt Place Bush Intercontinental is in Houston,TX – not Winters….
Hyatt Place Fort Worth/Hurst is in Hurst – not SW Fort Worth
Hyatt Place Fort Worth/Cityview – is missing should be in SW Fort Worth
Great tool! Using it to strategize 2 free Hyatt nights – possibilities are endless 🙂 …and you’re right, award redemptions look way more “affordable” than other hotel brands!
I love this resource – THANK YOU! Right now for me the Hyatt Carmel and the Vineyard Creek Santa Rosa locations are not on the right place on the map.
Thank you again!
Nice map.
You have “Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort” pinned on the Big Island.
Valuable addition in the Philly area. Hyatt Place in Mt. Laurel NJ is only 5K/night.
Excalibur and Luxor not included on this map?
Thank you very much. I think you may miss some hotels. For example, Hyatt Regency Tokyo is not in your map.
I appreciate these maps and the updates!
Hyatt Waikiki is in the wrong place . . .
Drew, Calgary has a Hyatt Regency. You missed that one.
Hyatt Regency Bellevue on Seattle’s Eastside is in the middle of the Cascade mountain range – rather than in the middle of Bellevue, WA
A lot of missing ones..
Great work. Thank you very much!
Hi Drew,
this is off topic, but can you tell me what is the cheapest way to fly business class to Israel now that Alitalia devalued their awards by a 100% ?
Love these tools. Great work! Though I get a page not found when I try to access it through your resources => complete maps page since you updated it. The date of the url is different.
GREAT tool!!!
Question. What are your plans for keeping this current?
The Hyatt House Jersey City is actually a Category 5–not 1.
Awesome work.
Hyatt House Jersey City is showing in Cat 1 list. It is not though!
FYI there has been an update this morning, eight Hyatt’s went up in category(s), one went down. Two examples that increased are the properties in Santa Cruz and St. Paul/Downtown.
Here is one place containing the details:
https://www.flyertalk.com/articles/9-hyatt-hotels-changed-categories-last-night-in-a-stealth-devaluation.html
Hyatt Place St. Paul/Downtown is a category 2 (8,000pts /night)
Missing from map is the Hyatt in Madrid.
Your homepage link is broke, it still goes to the old version(http://travelisfree.com/2016/10/14/complete-map-of-hyatt-hotels/) but your url changed to(http://travelisfree.com/2018/08/11/complete-map-of-hyatt-hotels/). So I had to find your post to visit this page, all previous links on your site are now broken. Love the maps by the way, I use these quite often.
Nice to see the Andaz Munich on the map… 😉
Bellevue Hotel is showing up inside NYC for some reason when it should be in Philadelphia.
When I try to book a room at hyatt they only have regular rooms online. How do I book a suite with points?
The Hyatt Place in Cottonwood/Salt Lake is a Cat 2, its still 8k pts per night, but the cash/pts option is now $95 & 4k pts. Bummer. Do you think they will honor the $55 that’s listed on your site? JK.
The RACV Resorts in Victoria, Tasmania and Queensland are perfect for a short break …
There is a Hyatt Palm Springs, Category 3, the map does not show it. btw Love the Map!
Would love to see this updated to include Joie de Vivre hotels!
Have loved this map for years! Would love to see it updates for 2020/2021.
HI
Would love it if you could update this, I use it all the time, it is such a great tool. Ocean City MD is now a Cat 5
