Updated: April 8, 2019
I’ve just updated the Complete Map of Hilton HHonors Points Hotels, and this is the most unique map I’ve done due to the weird mix of categories and dynamic pricing.
On the map, I have grouped together (and labeled) the minimum points price for each hotel. Many hotels have a price range depending on when you’re looking to book, and again, I’m displaying the lowest prices on this map. But if you want to see the price range, just click on a hotel to get more info.
(Click in the top left corner to (un)check categories, & in the top right corner for full screen)
Hilton HHonors Overview
There are many credit cards which earn Hilton points. There are not only Hilton HHonors credit cards, but American Express Membership Rewards points transfer to Hilton (at a 1:2 ratio).
The other thing you need to know is that many of the cards give some sort of status…
5th night free
The real benefit of status of any level (Silver, Gold, or Diamond) is that you you get your 5th night free when redeeming points.
This is a good deal that could give you up to 4 free nights on a 20 night stay.
Finding the cheap hotels on the map, getting a couple of Hilton points cards, and booking 5 night stays (to get an extra free night) is the majority of how we got 47 free hotel nights in Egypt.
How do the dot colors on the map relate to the hotel categories?
Click the little box on the left side of the map and it will have a dropdown that you can select categories and stuff.
Thank you! Very useful. I was looking for something like this just the other day.
Thank you for visiting!
DREW! this is Drew, thanks for your hard work and dedication, I’m wondering if you will have any updates on these hotel listings by categories sometime in 2018 as they all get renewed every year?
Thanks! I’ve been waiting on this one, so it’s great to see it.
Yea, got a little lazy as getting the data was tougher for me. But it went quicker than I thought.
Thank you! This is extraordinarily helpful.
Glad to hear it
How is this any different than award mapper?
Pins are by category, not by hotel. Map is by hotel. When you zoom out you still see hotels, even categories and prices. But it’s okay to have two maps of hotels on the internet.
I don’t think that Awardmapper has been updated for several years. A lot of bad/old information there. Thank you Drew. I have been waiting for your update. If you show me how, I will be glad to assist with other chains.
Great post. I don’t think I’ve seen much about the cash and points options for Hilton. Seems like some of those rates are pretty attractive, essentially buying points for less than 0.3 cents each for some of the midrange hotels when they are priced at the top of their range. I don’t know what the availability of cash and points rooms is like in general, but it seems like it could be useful for some.
Definitely a good value. I used it once for a category 2 (DT KL), 4k + 35, and so I figure I’m paying $35 to buy 6,000 points.
However, I’ve gotten so many HH points lately, that I don’t want to pay money to get points. But if you’re focusing on stretching the points, it’s a great option.
Totally understandable that someone who is flush with HH points wouldn’t bother with the cash and points redemptions. Imdid a bit of a search for DC hotels and found some that were 40K points or 16K+$65, which seems like a low price for 24K points, although you’re probably looking at five nights on the Red Sea for 25 K points!
Thanks a ton for your valuable information and insights! Your website is the best I’ve seen for travel! I’m so glad a friend recommended it to me recently. I’ve learned so much already just reading many of your posts, recent and past. How do you keep track of all your credit cards, rewards, miles, etc.? Is there a website or service you recommend? Thanks again!
The drop down doesn’t work for me on multiple brokers.
No categories are shown when I click it.
Hi Drew, would you please help me? Specifically which Virgin Atlantic credit card are you referring to? I can’t find the one that could end up giving me 140,000 Hilton points with the sign-up bonus, spend, and transfer to HH. Thanks!
Hey Drew, I just noticed the DoubleTree Hilton – Old Town Istanbul is showing up as being in the town of Ordu on the Black Sea coast.
Your various Hotel chain maps are so incredibly useful! Thank you so much. To keep them current, do you think updates might be coming at some point?
Well, this is an update to the Hilton map and in the post he said “Right now I’m updating all the maps, starting with Hilton.” So, I think you can pretty safely figure on yes.
For some reason, the Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah on Vienna Street in RAK is shown as being in Vienna in Austria, 2700 miles away.
Just got my first Hilton Honors card….. will get 50,000 points after I spend $750. This map is very cool! I don’t stay in hotels often, but any of the 10,000 point options would be just fine by me. When filtering out all but the 10,000 point options in Orlando, there are supposedly 4 hotels (3 Hampton, 1 Double Tree) in the airport/Universal Studios area. BUT….. when I look them up through the Hilton Honors website, there is nothing listed under 20,000 points? I even tried various dates. Is the map incorrect, or am I doing something wrong?
wow this is so amazing! is there anywhere i can find this in list form by any chance??
Thank you very much for updating this map.
Great that you are updating these valuable resources, Drew, thank you! (especially as the awardmapper tool is increasingly falling behind….)
To whit, you’re in for a load of headaches and negative surprises I suspect when you get to the now imploding Club Carlson chain….. I happen to be in Fresno at the moment — at one of two remaining CC’s properties there. (the other three vanished from the Club Carlson web site — even as they’re somehow keeping their old names — which will fake you out. But as I just experiences, you can no longer use club carlson points at places like the Park Inn Fresno. (again, never mind that they’ve kept the name — even calling themselves “by Radisson”)
Matters are even more disconcerting with the high end Club Carlson properties….. they too, seem to be a vanishing breed. (none left in San Francisco)
Excellent work. Found a few new obscure cat2’s in the US. Thanks so much!
Hi, there is a Hampton by Hilton Hotel in Krakow for 5000 Points per night that I can’t find on the map. It is just next to the Doubletree and definitely a steal for the price, highly recommended!
A million thanks for updating these – such a fantastic resource.
“Homewood Suites by Hilton Boston/Brookline” is misplaced. It is where “Homewood Suites by Hilton Boston/Cambridge-Arlington” There is no pin at the Brookline site where it should be, and the Cambridge-Arlington hotel is missing, having been displaced by the misplaced Brookline hotel.
In addition to my above comment, there is a new Hampton Inn in New Paltz, NY.
This is amazing! Thank you so much!
Hi!
The map is going to be a little out-dated. Is there any option to update it by other users? I’m interested in doing it! |Some others probably too.
Your maps of the different hotel chains definitely keep me coming back to your website time & time again.
They’re great and if you keep them upto date will certainly drive return visits 🙂
Glad to see your blogging again! Always a pleasure to see your amazing resources and I love the map since I can sort by category. I’m currently living in Taipei and wanted to contribute that there is a new Hilton that is missing from the list:
DoubleTree By Hilton Taipei Zhongshan at 35k/night
No. 123, Sec. 1, Zhongshan N. Rd Zhongshan, Taipei, 104, Taiwan
I literally can’t find a single date available on points. Am I crazy or is Hilton crazy?
Booked an award night there last week. You’re the crazy one Drew 🙂
Thanks for updating! I’m glad the blog is back.
A new Tru by Hilton opened up on 28th St. in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
I also can’t find any availability on any night to find the points price. And it gives a banner at the top saying something like “this hotel has limited Reward nights”.
It would be nice if the legend was more of a gradient heat scale. So people can easily see cheap to expensive hotels
Great suggestion!
I just changed it to do so. Is it better now?
Thanks for doing this work. Your map is extremely useful for those of us who have Honors points — which are crazy easy to accumulate but not so easy to spend wisely. How do you compile the minimum point price? Like I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn Mystic, CT for 23,000 points but your chart says the minimum is 26,000. Is the minimum just a guesstimate on what you see on the website? Is there actually a minimum? Like if a hotel’s lowest cost room is, say $80, can they still have a minimum of 25,000 points?
Hilton lists the min and max for each hotel on their site. Maybe it went up recently?
Thanks Drew! This is really fabulous. You definitely have the best travel blog out there. The most informative and uncluttered with ads. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Mike! 🙂
Dear all,
for a school project do I have to know how many Hilton owned hotels there are in Europe.
Who can help me with this?
There are 320 before Turkey and Russia. I’m not counting up which ones are on the Europe side or not. 😀
To be clear, I’m not sure how many hotels are actually owned by hilton vs managed. I know IHG barely owns any hotels, and they sold off the few they had left. They just manage. I don’t know how Hilton works.
But in case it helps your project, I’ll make a sheet of the Europe Hilton’s temporarily available. Copy and paste it if you need.

(It’s pretty crazy, because over 4,585 of the 5,668 Hilton hotels are in the USA).
Thank you so much for the updated map. I have been using this for years and am very grateful for your work.
First time visiting and have been looking for something like this for a very long time. It’s a shame Hilton can’t just provide this to us outright. Nevertheless, you’ve helped me book the cheapest point redemption room since my location was flexible. Thank you for maintaining this!
Hate to say it, but with Hilton recent mega-devaluation, we might need another update. Can we help with that?
I’d be willing to pitch in any data to help update this as well. I’ve noticed that all the hotels I would keep tabs on as cheap points destinations have gone from 10K to 20K regardless of dates.

Check this out – Hilton is trying to help – a little…

Thanks a million, this has been very helpful vacation planning for my family and I! Please keep it up to date!
