There are a lot of loop holes in the hotel industry and those of us who know them are slow to share them in fear of the deals being pulled. (All that to say, I might delete this post later and if it’s too vague, contact me). This time, I’m not sharing a loop hole but a really lucrative policy.
A lot of companies in the travel industry have a “best rate guarantee.” This means that if you find a cheaper hotel room after you’ve purchased one, that a company like Expedia will reward you with $50 credit and lower your price. Luckily, Expedia has a fairly flexible cancellation policy and will give you 3 $50 credits a month. Someone else has already found the deals for you. Don’t abuse this.
