When flying into Puerto Rico our first hotel was an easy choice. How about the hotel near the airport, with the nicest beach in San Juan and one completely free? No points, no cash. Free. It's a no brainer. It was a beautiful hotel and completely worth the price we paid. ;-)
It's funny because my assumptions of what Panama City would be like were quite off. For starters, everyone I know who's been there hasn't been there in 2-6 years and apparently it's developed quite well since then. And secondly, we've spend quite a bit of time in the PTY airport and it was just run down. The stay at this Radisson (instead of the one in San Juan) was a reminder why to love Radisson. Lets be honest, I 've done absolutely nothing to deserve my "Gold Status" except send an email, but they sure do treat their Gold's well. A suite upgrade and $20 towards the bar was part of the reason we loved this hotel.
The Renaissance Aruba deserves more pictures than any hotel I've stayed at. It wasn't the swankiest hotel but the private island made it the perfect hotel for a 24 hour visit to Aruba. Come, drop your bags and get shuttled on a boat (free) from the lobby to the private island.
