A Trip Report series:
- Introduction
- The Renaissance Saigon
- Cathay First Class
- InterContinental Hong Kong
- Cathay First Class Lounge
- Park Hyatt Tokyo
Before we ended our trip in Asia we wanted to see Japan and it seemed fitting to route through Hong Kong, both to fly Cathay First Class and because it is where we started our time in Asia. We will have spent 3 nights in Saigon, 3 in Hong Kong (one at the Courtyard), and a week in Japan. Both segments, to and from Hong Kong, are on the Cathay’s 747-400. Although a short hop, only 2,800 miles at 6 hours of flying (2 from Saigon and 4 to Tokyo) – it is definitely a luxurious and fast paced trip.
P.S. This entire post was written and published on the airport bus in Hong Kong. What an awesome city.
